HOW WE STARTED

We actually started this ministry as a project of our business, D'Vision II Entertainment, LLC before we temporarily closed our business. The project was called The Grateful Magnolia Project and it helped people in need by supplying gift certificates to our local grocery store to people living in a local hotel. We worked with the management of the hotel to get a list of people they felt needed a gift certificate for food. Then we went and bought the gift certificates at the local store. We put a clause on it that the gift certificate couldn't be used for alcohol that was the beauty of the gift certificate.

The concept of Grateful Magnolia Ministries started when we saw a need for help for people who were fleeing from violence that wasn't a spousal abuse.

We noticed that the shelters in our county that help people dealing with Domestic Violence (DV) Had strict rules due to their donors requirements that only gave them the ability to serve spousal abuse victim and their children under 18. They couldn't help anyone else who may have been living at the same house that was over 18 even if they were elderly. The only people they serve, and help are victims of Domestic Violence that are people abused by a spouse. This became very disturbing to us when we discovered this and the shelters themselves, were upset they couldn't fill this void.

Our hearts went out to people in our county that were fleeing from DV abuse that wasn't spousal abuse.  Where do they go? How do they protect themselves from stockers or the people they are running from? Regular warm shelter just open in the winter and homeless shelters don't provide the protection and resources they need to cope with the abuse they have suffered. We found that in our town the main place to go isn't even a shelter it's a place for people to get coffee and a meal.

When someone is fleeing from a threat, or from harm they really shouldn't be places that the abuser can find them. This is why DV shelters are set up special for Domestic Violence.

What if the abuser is a family member not a spouse? What if the abuse is a friend? What if the abuser is a boyfriend or girlfriend that is not your spouse? What if the abuser is someone in your family that you love but they aren't a spouse. What if your father lives with you and it is a spousal abuse case? Where does he get help at?

These are the questions we were left with after we discovered that there weren't any shelters that dealt with abuse that was not spousal.

We sat down one night and brainstormed about what we could do to help the problem. We came up with a great plan of providing housing assistance on a temporary basis through gift cards to hotels, condos, and corporate housing. While giving the people resources to help them get out of their situation.  We started with great visions of opening up a facility that could help these people get the much-needed help. We are hoping to eventually open up a facility that provides training in speaking, and the arts that will house an office full of counselors and community liaisons that can help walk each person through the journey from violence to peace.

We officially founded the ministry this week (10/2025) after 3 years or more of research, planning and setting up our goals for it. So, what started as a gift certificate program has now turned into a non-profit organization with the ambition to get help to people going through the toughest time in their lives.

We are excited to take the steps and official start this journey. On this website, you can get articles and resources for help if you find yourself without a roof over your head or if you are dealing with someone that is on drugs and you want to learn how to help them. We are going to continue our gift certificate program to the local grocery store as well and we hope to grow into a community service that helps people who fall through the cracks of the system.

We love you! God loves you!

We are called as Christians to love our neighbors like God first loved us this is found in John 15:12 The greatest commandment of God is to love your neighbor like you love yourself. This can be hard if you don't learn to love yourself. So, take time to learn to love yourself but not too much time. Then turn around and love someone else. The verse that says love your neighbor like God first loved you is so powerful because God loves us unconditionally. His love is genuine and beautiful full of mercy and grace. He loves you more then you will ever know.

Don't ever give up on yourself! You are stronger than you think you are. God won't give you anything you can't handle.  Jesus died on the cross and God raised him from the grave all for your sins. What are sins? to a person not familiar with the meaning of sin and what it is it could sound overwhelming. Many people say I am a good person so I know I will go to Heaven, the bible says that we don't enter Heaven through our works, we can't buy God! We can't bargain with him. It is by our trust, confidence, and faith in Jesus that we can enter into Heaven when we die.  Christianity is more than a ticket to Heaven. It is a walk and relationship with God.

Many people judge Christians because they aren't flawless. We aren't perfect we are forgiven and you can be forgiven as well.

Jesus already paid for your ticket to Heaven. You're on the list if you ask him to add you to it. Your invited to an everlasting eternity with God. All you have to do is ask Jesus to enter into your life and heart. When you do this the Holy Spirit enters into your heart and directs you in the pathway of goodness. It's very simple to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. This prayer is a guide as to what to pray to get added to the book of life. It's not some magic prayer that opens Heaven's door but rather it is an invitation to God to enter into your life and help you live life abundantly.

The 8 concepts of the prayer are as follows:

Coming before God in need of grace

Admitting you have walked in your own way and strayed away from truth

Asking for forgiveness of your sins and to be cleansed from all unrighteousness

Confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord He is the messiah

Declaring you believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again for your salvation

Asking God to wash you clean and make you new

Surrendering your life to God and choosing to follow God wholeheartedly

Then thanking God for saving you and having mercy and love for you.

Below is a sample prayer you can use to accept Jesus Christ in your heart I also recommend reading Hebrews 7, 8, and 9 in a living bible or message bible to better understand how Jesus can cleanse you of all the things you have done wrong. It goes into more detail about how Jesus became the High Priest and the living sacrifice for our sins. Here is the prayer please pray it out loud and mean in from the bottom of your heart and you will be saved and then you can call yourself a Christian. After you pray the prayer your job is to tell everyone you know and people you don't know that you accepted Jesus Christ in your heart and life. Then if they want to accept Jesus you can use this prayer below to lead them to Christ. What leading them to Christ means is that you are sharing God with them and God's forgiveness with then.

Here is the prayer:

Dear Lord God, Almighty, I come before You as a sinner I have done wrong, I was born a sinner in need of grace. I have walked in my own ways and strayed from Your truth. Please forgive me for my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, he is the Messiah, and I believe that He died and rose again for my salvation. Wash me clean and make me new, O God. From this moment, I surrender my life to You and choose to follow You wholeheartedly. Thank You for saving me through Your mercy and love. I love you God come walk with me and help me each day to do the right thing. In Jesus Name I pray Amen So be it

If you prayed this prayer and you believe it in your heart you are now a Christian. I advice you to get established in a church community make sure the church believes Jesus is the Messiah and that he died on the cross for your sins and beware of churches that might teach old beliefs about sacrificing animals and forbidden foods. The bible teaches us that after Jesus died on the cross for us that the old covenant from the old testament of the bible is no longer valid. Jesus death and resurrection started a new covenant with God. This is explain more in Hebrews.  There are churches out there that call themselves Christian but are not Christian. Metaphysics is not Christian either so be careful finding a church let God lead you to the perfect church family for you. Pray about it. Prayer is just talking to God. We pray in Jesus name and then we pray Amen (Amen means So Be It) its a affirmation that you are say to God so be this prayer. Also, I highly recommend reading the New testament of the bible first. This will give you information about Jesus and his walk here on earth it teaches about the New covenant. The old testament is about the old covenant and it have law from that time but Jesus dealth and resurrection changed the laws. So, if you read the New Testament first it will help you understand the old testament better. Getting involved in a church will help you learn more about the bible and how God wants you to live. It also provides you with a community of people who love God and worship together. This is vital because as a new Christian it is important to learn about the bible and to learn how to determine God's leading.
